In UCSD's MAE 154, students are challenged with designing and pitching a new product idea. Our team of four mechanical engineers developed a low profile adapter for longboard/skateboards that gives the option to lock board similar with any bike lock. This project not only explored developing functioning locks for longboards, but also advertising and pitching the idea to others.
In this project, I worked with my peers to take a concept to a physical prototype. I worked to develop CAD designs as well as the fixturing to machine and form the BoardHitches.
