This chair, inspired by mid-century modern aesthetics, has a couple tricks.
The flat pattern fits in a 30"x 40" area, which means that I can fit three chairs on a single sheet of plywood.
There is no glue or wood screws involved, which means the whole chair can be disassembled with a single Allen key
Only one type of nut+bolt is used, which minimizes the length of the BOM
The assembly is almost poka-yoke and requires very little instructions
Once disassembled, the whole chair could fit in a 24"x 30"x 1" box (think A1 sheet size)

I was inspired for this project because, after my wedding, I had a leftover sheet of plywood that was used as the seating chart. Rather than toss the material, I figured it would make a great ironic piece: "the seating chart seat". I don't have a ton of tools at my apartment in Berkeley, so I used only a jigsaw and a drill to follow the CAD models I designed.
If this is something you might be interested in making as well - please reach out (See the contact page on this website) and I would love to share the design and assembly instructions!
