Hydrio was looking for a low cost prototype of their water testing concept. After iterating concepts with the founder of Hydrio, I settled on designing a 2 DOF system to handle cartridges for testing. The system was kept cheap and simple to prototype by re-purposing parts from hobby 3D printers.
