This robot completed the design challenge posed by UCSD's intro to design, MAE3. Here, bouncy balls were dispersed among a custom course. Teams went head to head to see who could pick up the most in 2 minutes.
In the competition, our robot was able to quickly pick up the most difficult ball and we won first place in the competition among more than 100 students.

I led the design for four components: -=- the ball-pod made to automatically collect balls -=- the rack and pinion system to actuate vertical motion -=- the horizontal scissor-lift that utilized a pulley system -=- and the gear driven base.
