This robot completed the design challenge posed by UCSD's automation design course, MAE 156A. Here, 1" diameter balls of different colors were transferred between turn tables as quickly and accurately as possible.

In the competition, our robot was able to balance the balls on 3mm holes and sort all six balls, in order, in under 20 seconds

Our team of four developed a kinematic solution that rolled the ball between tables using a 4-bar-linkage to scoop up the balls. To automate the process, I used Arduino subroutines to control DC, motors, servos, color sensors and encoders.
